BACKGROUND
Current Salaah facilities in rural Africa comprise of thatch structures that are easily destroyed by the elements of weather etc. Communities lack a space to come together to pray and interact.
PROJECT DETAILS
A masjid brings a culture of identity to villages in Africa…an identity of being a Muslim and having a secure place to offer Salaah – a fundamental pillar of Islam.
Maktab classes are offered to young students daily and Dawah activities are conducted.
During Ramadaan, iftaar and suhoor meals are offered at the various Masaajid, providing thousands of meals to the fasting.
Udhiyyah is also conducted at masjid premises.
INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT
Accommodates up to 200 people. Facilities for women.
